Meet Jandre’ Blom, the dynamic South African talent born on December 24, 1984, in Vredendal, now known as the YouTube sensation from Bloudam, Jandre’ kicked off his career as a pro rugby player, excelling as a Scrum Half.

Starting with the U19 Griffons team in 2000 and the Free State U21 team in 2005, Jandre’ swiftly rose through the ranks. He made waves in the senior league, joining the Free State Cheetahs Squad in 2005 for the Vodacom, showcasing his skills for the next four seasons. As the team’s main kicker, he clinched the fourth spot for top points in 2007 with an impressive 73 points.

Jandre’ made his Currie Cup debut in the 2007 Premier Division and later featured in the 2008 Super 14 season. Although he didn’t play in the Super 14, he made a mark in the 2008 Vodacom Cup as the tenth top scorer with 73 points. Loaned to the Griffons, he made significant contributions in the 2008 Currie Cup Premier Division and the subsequent promotion play-offs.

In 2009, Jandre’ continued his scoring prowess in the Vodacom, notching up 99 points. His journey led him to George, where he joined the SWD Eagles for the 2009 Curie Cup First Division season, accumulating twenty-five Currie Cup appearances, two in the friendly’s series, and six in the Vodacom Cup. A stint at Griquas followed in the 2011 Vodacom Cup, with five appearances. Returning to SWD Eagles in 2013, he shone in the 2013 Currie Cup First Division Season.

Jandre’ Blom’s excellence extends beyond rugby; he represented South Africa in the IRB Sevens World series from 2005-2007, showcasing his skills in various international competitions like the Dubai Sevens and USA Sevens. A versatile talent, Jandre’ is a force to be reckoned with on and off the field.
